Go back to dentist: Sound like it could be a dry socket. Pain medication will not relieve the pain. Other problems after an extraction can cause pain. Let the dentist identify what the issue is for you. It can be another tooth, dry socket or other complication.

Call your DDS: Call the oral surgeon that extracted your tooth. You may have what is called a "dry socket" where the blood clot that was in the extraction site came out exposing raw bone. The oral surgeon can put some medicated gauze in this area and soothe the pain. If you didn't see an oral surgeon, who is a dental specialist, good luck.
