Meds all have + & -: For medications to be approved ( fda) they have to show benefit and have an acceptable safety profile. In addition, each medication has an "indication", i.e. For what illness is it helpful. Unfortunately all medications also have side effects. The choice of medication is a balancing act between pluses ( benefits) and negatives (side effects). Because each one is different, ask the prescriber.
