Can someone tell me the signs/symptoms of depression? or possibly bipolar. i know my mother and a few other family members are bipolar.

Changes in feelings: Some symptoms of depression include loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities, weight loss or weight gain, sleep disturbance, very sad mood, feelings of hopelessness.
bipolar includes the above and often extreme feelings of euphoria, irritability, acting impulsively with judgment, reduced need.for sleep, pressured speech to name some symptoms of "mania"
