Need an exam: To answer your question about the red dot. It could be a variation of normal or a problem. A visual or possible histologic exam are the only way to get more information. As for the tongue, sometimes there isn't enough room and an orthodontic or surgical intervention may be necessary to address that issue. Ask your dentist about this too and expect a referral to an orthodontist or ENT doc.
