A member asked:

How can i tell if i have a fever without a thermometer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You really can't: Feeling the skin can be very deceptive, as sometimes when the inner body temperature is up the body will try to get it down by increasing blood flow to the skin, and you feel hot.Other times if you have a fever, but your brain wants it to go even higher, it will cause restriction of blood flow to skin and you feel cool. You really need to actually measure the temp. Guessing just doesn't do it!
