Thermometer!: There is no good substitute to measure the temperature other than by the thermometer. However, feeling the forehead with the back of the ad may give some impression. Also, foe each 1 centigrade degree in the temperature, the heart rate ges up by about 10 beats but you need to know the baseline heart rte.
