Maybe none: Compulsive lying can be a form of obsessive compulsive disorder and not caused by a childhood experience. It can be very difficult to treat and may require a combination of medication and therapy. Compulsive lying of this type usually involves lies that are told for no obvious reason or benefit and that are very easy to prove are not true.
