A member asked:

How do i know if my child suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MD is best source.: The diagnosis of OCD is made when a patient reports having obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, or by observation of compulsive behaviors. Children are reluctant to reveal these symptoms due to fear of being labeled "crazy". Observe your child. If you see repetitive, ritualistic behaviors, with anxiety, isolation, or depression ask them gently to share their thoughts and fears. Seek help.
