Collapsed lung, what do doctors do it inflate?

Chest tube: Usually a deflated lung is reinflated by putting in a chest tube surgically and then applying that to negative pressure. The negative pressure inflates the lung. Then the tube can be removed.

Therapy: If the collapse is due to air leak one may need a chest tube aspiration. If it is due to blockgage he needs physical and respiratory therapy.
