Difficult problem: The anatomy of cellulite is still being understood and ways to address it. It is a combination of localized fat, skin laxity, skin attachments to the underlying muscle, localized edema and more. Procedures to address these components have been developed and may produce improvements but cannot remove or cure it. This includes technologies such as endermologie or cellulaze or venus freeze and more.

Causes are the same: Cellulite is caused by the bulging of fat within spaces created by fibrous connections between the skin and deeper structures. Because the space is confined, as fat cells grow, the bulges between these septations became more pronounced. Conversely, loss of fat will have the opposite effect. If unable to completely correct with weight loss, surgical options may be helpful.
