Possibly: Citalopram and Buspirone are both described as being effective for anxiety. The magnitude of the difference between their effects is likely small if studied formally in a research setting although my experience with both is that i would predict someone would experience more comprehensive reduction in the severity of their anxiety and panic attacks in the context of citalopram treatment.
