Referred pain: Because the nerve supply to each tooth is linked to a bigger nerve that then travel back through the upper(or lower) jaw back, wisdom teeth(especially) can refer pain into the forehead(and ear). The bacteria from the rotting tooth can cause damage to the surrounding gum and bone as well.
