As a group: As a group, schizophrenia has a lifetime occurrence rate of 1 out of 100 people. Again, over the course of a lifetime. Each group is represented differently with the undifferentiated group being the largest among all those diagnosed with scz.

Schizophrenia: Overall prevalence of 1.1 to 1.2%. With DSM 5, the subtypes of Schizophrenia were removed (paranoid, disorganized, catatonic, undifferentiated, & residual) because a person may not statically remain in one subtype. However, paranoid schizophrenia was previously considered the most common subtype. REF: https://www.mentalhelp.net/schizophrenia/the-new-dsm-5/
