Not likely: While knitting and crocheting with your wrists in a bent position for a long time may exacerbate your carpal tunnel symptoms, it does not cause carpal tunnel syndrome.

Depends: Not unless you do it for more than 5 hours per day. Studies have shown that performing repetitive hand tasks for more than 5 hours a day can increase your risk of cts.
