Immobilize the wrist: Carpal tunnel braces are helpful for treatment of mild carpal tunnel symptoms. Carpal tunnel syndrome is compression of the media nerve in the wrist, causing pain and numbness in the fingers. When the wrist is bent forward or backwards for extended periods, it increases the pressure on the nerve. The brace places the wrist in a neutral position, especially during sleep.

Good option : It is a common conservative treatment option for cts. It keeps the hand neutral or slightly extended. This minimizes irritation of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel and often times reduces or alleviates the cts symptoms.
