Arrhythmia: It sounds like you probably have an transient irregular heart beat or arrhythmia. While there are many types of arrhythmias, if it lasts only a few seconds it is probably not dangerous. Should this feeling continue, or worsen, or if it makes you feel lightheaded or dizzy, or like you might pass out, call you doctor to be checked. You could wear a holter monitor to record your heart beats.
