A member asked:

What is meant by "poorly differentiated" squamous cell carcinoma? does that mean that it is at the initial stage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pathologists use: Descriptive terms, now being replaced by molecular markers... Poorly differentiated signified more deranged cellular findings, and conveyed an indication of a higher malignant potential...Not verified, but worse than well-differentiated or moderately differentiated.
