A member asked:

Can invasive moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus lead to death?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: This is not as straight forward a question as it seems. If there is surgical removal of the cancer, no metastatic disease and no involved lymph nodes then there may be a surgical cure. If there is extensive disease other treatment s can sometimes be used such as radiation or chemotherapy in addition to surgery with varying success.
