Can't say what it is: It is impossible to tell you exactly what the spot is. There are many spots in a mouth that are harmless and will heal, however not all of the sopts are innocent. If it has been present for several weeks it is important to see a dentist and have this checked out and rule out and serious problem. Don't wait.

It's good that: You noticed it and probably nothing at all. However, as you well know (or should) not all things that are painless are also benign or harmless. If it warranted spending the time to post the question, it probably warrants finding out what it is. All lesions that are not gone in 2 weeks should be further evaluated. It is always better to be safe than sorry (which my wife reminds me all the time).
