Red spot: If this red spot is new and disappears after several days it may be a petechia. If the spot is long lasting it could be a hemangioma which is a dilated capillary. Neither of these are a sign of illness. If you have concerns, however, have a physician or Otolaryngologist examine your throat and advise you.
