Tongue canker sore?: Check with your dentist to make sure exactly what the lesion really is. Canker sores do not normally occur on the tongue. Canker sores (aphthous ulcers) heal spontaneously in 7-10 days. Avoid hot, spicy and acidic foods. You can get orabase ointment to place on the sore before eating to mitigate the pain.
