A member asked:

I have a lump behind my ear that has been there for a couple weeks. hasn't changed size. i know cancerous lumps grow so it couldn't be that right?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Odds are this is b9: sebaceous cyst, mastoiditis or swollen lymph node. Slow or imperceptible growth can occur with cancer. Pain doesn't always mean cancer on not. Pls have eval & with low suspicion for cancer, antibiotics may be started.
