A member asked:

How to tell if these lumps behind my ear are cancerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Site near ear: Behind the ear refers to that area from the top of the ear helix to the area just behind the ear lobe. Behin the helix, one sees small nodes of no concern or a small lipoma. Behind the ear lobe one may see the characteristic presentation of a parotid tumor. This should be checked and if so, the parotid must be resected regardless of benign or malignant.
