What to do if i have found a suspicious lump on the side of my neck, any ideas what it could be?

Neck mass: Any neck mass warrants prompt, careful evaluation--and followup-- by a physician. While there are many bacterial and viral infections which can and do drain to neck lymph nodes, there is also a concern for noninfectious and more ominous medical conditions like lymphoma which if identified early are quite treatable. The best advice is to seek medical care rather than exploring what it 'could be'.
