Is it a good idea to burn eczema with boiling hot water to stop it itching?

No: Unless you are preparing yourself to be eaten by cannibals. Burning may relieve the itching temporarily only to make it much worse later because your skin surface will become even more porous and you may even end up with an infection (particularly staph).
