I would like to send a chemotherapy patient (not hungry) a "care" gift basket/package. what are good, non perishable snacks and fruits to include?

Chemotherapy food: After chemo treatments, soft foods may improve swallowing problems.  these tend to go down easier. Consider high calorie and protein milkshakes.  liquids tend to be the best tolerated, especially if the difficulty swallowing is related to a narrowed esophagus.Chew solid foods thoroughly.

Ask the patient: Certain chemotherapy treatments require that a patient not be exposed to certain foods. You should ask this person what they would like, and what they may not have.
