Rectal or anal probl: If blood is not mixed in the stool, it could mean a rectum or anus lesion that is bleeding . Hemorrhoids and ulcers or fissures are possible. My rule of thumb is when you see blood you have to know where it is coming from. Looking inside may be necessary with anoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, or colonoscopy. At your age, i expect no big problem.

Bloody stool. Colon: If you have no hemorrhoids, constipation, or anal fissure pain then it can be a serious problem. You should see your doctor for further work up. Good luck.
