Thyroids?: You have one thyroid gland (t) and 4 parathyroid glands (p). T secretes thyroxine which is a hormone that is involved with one's metabolism and p's hormone is parathyroid hormone which regulates serum calcium (c). T's activity is reflected in the tsh. If one has a high c, one of the causes is a high p activity and the PTH is elevated in that case. Which one of these glands are you asking about?

Thyroid: The thyroid sets your metabolism, it's like a thermostats in your house. High thyroid cause heat, shakes, tremors. Low thyroid causes cold, swelling, constipation. Thyroid medication is cheap, especially as a generic.
