Can be used in preg: Keflex has a category b pregnancy rating, so it is as safe as you can get in pregnancy.

When clearly needed: Keflex is in category b as designated by the fda. Category b have been shown to be safe in humans although other studies report that it can cause problems with the fetus. Talk to your prescriber about the risks and benefits if taking that particular drug while pregnant.
