Pregnancy bleeding: At 16 weeks with everything found to be normal, the risk of a miscarriage is low, but still present. About 5% of pregnancy losses occur in the second trimester. But you are past the point in pregnancy where the majority of miscarriages occur. The news you received from your doctor is re-assuring. Remember, bleeding is not a cause of a miscarriage, it is a symptom that needs evaluation.
