Trying to understand what "nonconcerning" means in regard to hernias. what makes them nonconcerning versus concerning? do they still need treatment?

Yes: Hernias need to be treated because of their complications of incarceration and strangulation.

Need Clarification: Personally, i would never use the term "nonconcerning" to describe a hernia. I think you should discuss this with the physician who made your diagnosis to obtain some clarification. Except for rare cases, surgical repair of hernias are recommended.
