Can be thrush?: Unless a doctor sees these white bumps, it is difficult to guess. It could very well be thrush or bad oral hygiene.

Hypertrophic papilla: White bumps on the tongue may be hypertrophic papillae or taste buds. These can become enlarged and inflamed for many reasons. If they last more than a week you should see a doctor to try to find the cause.
