Okay to wait: It sounds like it is okay to wait a day. If he was lethargic, in pain or had a fever then more urgent.

Other features ??: Most of these turn out to be very minor issues and the kids doc is likely to pick up on the cause better than an er trained person who will run tests on every zebra like cause immaginable. If the kid is playful and otherwise having a good day it can wait until tomorrow.If sickly and uninterested in play, take him in.
