I have gout. i was prescribed indomethacin. it works wonders, but i think it may be causing vision changes and tiredness. i am also on sertraline (just upped from 50mg-100), allopurinol and vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). suggestions?

Not the nsaid: Indomethacin is a non steroidal (NSAID) usually doesnt cause the symptoms you describe . Probably the sertraline check with your doctor.

Not likely: Indomethacin is not likely to cause vision changes. See an ophthalmologist to determine what is going on with your eyes.

Antihyperurecemic me: Gout can be successfully treated using antihyperurecemic agent in conjunction with diet to avoid foods high in purines the building blocks for uric acid. Several are allopurinol, uloric and in some cases probenecid. Speak with yor primary care physician or podiatric physican for your treatment options. Indomethacin should only be used for acute gout and can be rough on stomach and liver.
