Plantar fibromatosis: Lumps in the arches are frequently due to nodular thickenings of the plantar fascia ligaments. They are largely genetic in origin and can respond to steroid injections and ultrasound therapy. In severe cases, they can be surgically removed, but healing from this surgery is slow.

Plantar fibroma: Is a possibility but i would recommend biopsy of a lump to confirm the diagnosis. For treatment topical verapamil has been shown to be effective at helping reduce both pain and size but this does take time. A soft insole/orthotic may help as well.
