Depends: Severe lisfranc injuries need surgery, which is costly regardless of exactly which type of procedure is performed (orif, fusion, percutaneous pinning, external fixator). Casting can be done if there is no displacement, but it will take 2-3 months to feel better usually. That is the cheaper option, if you fall into that catergory, but go with whatever your doctor suggests- its a very serious injury.

Hard to say: There are several ways to address the lisfranc injury/fracture. These are complex and require complex information and diagnostics as an operating surgeon to make the treatment decision. Treatment ranges from casting and immobilization to internal fixation to fusion of the joint. A specialist would need to do a thorough evaluation to make that call.

Depends on severity: Some may require a cast immobilization, while other need to be surgically repaired.
