A member asked:

I was clipping the baby's nails (4months old) and i nipped his finger tip and couldn't get it to stop bleeding. how do i get it to stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pressure: The primary way to slow blood flow is to place pressure on the wound. In this case you can put a band-aid lengthwise with the pad over the tip and the ends running down the finger.Check it every half hour until you are sure it has stopped, but you can keep the band-aid on to keep it stopped. In the future toss the nippers, use a small sheet of fine sand paper to sand the nails, takes just seconds.
