Very unlikely!: Avoid alcohol to clean wounds. It damages tissue. Use mild soap and water, which is fine. I, and other docs, prefer bacitracin to neosporin, because it has less risk of a contact dermatitis when used for more than a few days. This cut should heal very rapidly. If you have fever, increased pain, pus, of course, as with any other skin infection, get seen quickly. Sepsis rare, in healthy folks.
