Maybe: Mrsa bacteria are now everywhere in the environment. They are responsible for 70% of the pustules and abscesses i see in the office weekly coming from community sources.Your exposure to known cases at least makes you aware and interested in caution and extra handwashing as needed. The germ does not jump through the air, and despite its present notariety it is not that special.

Contagious: Mrsa is contagious but your level of exposure is important. If you had direct physical contact with an infected person that in turn had touched their lesions then you might have picked it up. For it to cause infection it would probably have to penetrate your body thru broken skin. Don't panic, but take a good shower and be on the lookout for any "pimple like" lesions. Seek med help is u see some.
