By Definition: Lumbar compression, eg. A vertebral body, means the bone dimensions have decreased, of course very variable how much. Standard xr least sensitive, ct xr more sensitive, MRI better for soft tissues but also shows bones. So as usual, depends on exam quality, angles, degree of compression, who reads, etc. Best you get a copy and see your own images to better understand, get help to understand faster.

Yes: The vast majority of the fractures are visable on ct or MRI (even x-ray) after they heal.
