Depends vitals signs: All beta-blockers relieve angina but best response depends on finding the right dose to reduce resting heart rate to near 60 and BP to normal. Coreg (carvedilol) has an extra action to lower BP by opening blood vessels, so it can help lower an elevated BP (which stresses on the heart) as well as heart rate. But it's not the right choice for someone whose BP is already low. Nsaids can raise bp, by the way.

Coreg (carvedilol): Coreg (carvedilol) is also effective for angina. The dose titration for angina needs to achieve rate control which is a bit different from the CHF dosing.
