Cannot say w/o...: ...Much more history at minimum. However, if mucomyst (acetylcysteine) brings ammonia down and liver given chance to recover, can often improve function. Need to avoid any non-essential taxes to liver function--like alcohol and non-essential drugs/meds. Gi or hepatology (/liver specialist) can help guide management if not rapidly improving.
