Memory: Memory is complex. It involves the initial registration of the information (taking it in), storage, & retrieval of the stored information. If you have a problem with 1+ of these steps, you won't remember. In adhd/add, the brain does not focus well, so information often is not registered, like meeting someone, hearing his/her name but never really taking "in" the name. Do talk with your md!

Inattention: This is a remarkably common problem in adhd patients. Many contributing factors can worsen it. The most important is zolpidem thta's known to impair short term memory & judgment. Adhd patients frequently have sleep problems, but using this drug is a bad choice. There many better treatments for sleep issues in adhd people that won't contribute to forgetfulness. Be sure sleep apnea is ruled out.
