Get examined : This sounds like gynecomastia which is male breast enlargement and is frequently limited to the areola. It can be associated with tenderness. It is almost always benign. In any event examination by a physician is recommended to be sure.

Time for exam: While it may be "nothing, " breast cancers do occur in males as well and are often not identified until late, exactly because it is not looked for. It would be wise to see your dr and have an examination to be sure there is nothing worrisome present.
