How long should i have been hooked up to an ecg monitor?

Monitor: Length of cardiac monitoring is suggested by the reason the monitoring was indicated in the first place. You haven't mentioned why you were put on monitor in the first place. Some indications take only seconds of monitoring some take days of monitoring.

Depends: All depends on what is being looked for / evaluated. Minutes to days. Cannot say further without more information. Contact your dr if having health concerns, as outpatient (holter) monitoring can be ordered, if necessary.
