Talk to doc: I don't see it as a problem as you are trying to increase your serotonin level by adding a precusor whereas you are preserving your serotonin by using Lexapro (escitalopram) by inhibiting its reuptake. I would, though, have your doc give you the final "yes", as he needs to be kept in the loop since he is taking responsibility for you.
