Arthritis, bursitis : This may or may not be arthritis. There are other causes of knee pain including bursitis, tendonitis, internal knee injuries like cartilage, ligaments etc. Your evaluation will look at these possible causes and beyond examination may require imaging such as x ray, ultrasound, mri, therapy includes exercise and topical or internal medication.

Knee Pain: Hard to saw based on your limited information in the question. Did you injury it recently or in the past. Any recent activity or trauma that increased the pain. Did it come on gradually with activity. What part of your knee is it located. Is it swollen? Does it catch or give way?
