Not dangerous but...: Licorice root has been used medicinally for thousands of years (it may be the most common herb used in chinese medicine). It contains glycyrrhizin, high doses of which can cause high blood pressure & fluid retention, but 450 mg/day is not a high dose. I know no evidence licorice helps pssd though i saw one online testimonial. See http://umm.Edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/licorice & my comment.
