Usually yes: As long as a protein supplement doesn't contain other substances, then it's safe in moderation. Be aware that supplement manufacturers often put things in their products that are not listed on the label, and there is no regulatory oversight of these products (they don't have to meet regulatory requirements like medications do). A better option is to increase intake of high-protein foods.
