Antimicrobial herb: Goldenseal is a natural antimicrobial that may kill a wide variety of bacteria, parasites & yeast. It has a long history of folk use & is generally quite safe, but there has been little research on it. No one really knows how much you should take due to lack of research but it's reasonable to try one capsule 3x/day. See http://umm.Edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/goldenseal & http://bit.Ly/17k2ljc.

Goldenseal: I agree with dr. Baker's reply. Doses of 0.5-1g of goldenseal tablets or capsules have been used 3 times/day. However, what are you wanting to accomplish through taking this herb? Your info does not mention any kind of infection. Some people have suggested it can help in obscuring urine drug test results, but research data does not support this idea.
